A Snowy White Christmas: Highlights of Our Holiday Party
We love parties at Skyline, and we’re always looking forward to our next big event. Of course, the holidays would be remiss without our annual Christmas party, which was a huge hit with our residents.
A snowy patio, live music (featuring new and classic Christmas songs), a visit from Santa, yummy treats and a chocolate fountain — what a festive time we had!
Below we’ve compiled some of our favorite holiday highlights for you.
A White Christmas at Our Retirement Community
This year, our theme was White Christmas, and in keeping with the theme, we transformed our back veranda into a snowy winterscape, complete with snow machines! All of our residents dressed in their favorite holiday red and green attire and enjoyed mingling with each other.
Our residents were given a songbook so they could sing along with the live band as they played well-known Christmas songs like Jingle Bells and Let It Snow. Some of our residents even danced along!
As you can expect from any of our parties, we had delicious food, including a white chocolate fountain to dip sweets into. In the middle of our lobby stood a giant Christmas tree complete with beautiful ornaments and bows.
Santa also paid us a visit! In the midst of our holiday cheer, we had a special area set up for photos with Santa. Our residents had the opportunity to get a photo with Santa (and even tell him what they wanted for Christmas).
Lastly, what holiday party is complete without a felt snowball fight in the lobby? You could hear giggles from the participants as they got “pelted” with snowballs. It was a huge hit with our guests!
